Falstaff.dot (Fal-dot) is your answer for simple and effective script formatting under Microsoft® Word versions 95 and higher. Fal-dot's simple user interface and powerful macros (programmed using Visual Basic for Applications), make it effective, efficient, and easy to dynamically author, edit, and format a script under Word. The new 5.0 version of Fal-dot integrates seamlessly into Word, providing you with a new Normal Toolbar for easy access to Fal-dot's advanced functions. You can access industry-standard Styles through the Menu Bar, Normal Toolbar, Floating Toolbar, Right-Click Menu, or with a simple keystroke. Fal-dot also provides you with several convenient Tools: You can convert your script to HTML format, automatically insert a correctly-formatted title page, number (or un-number) your scenes, insert scene descriptions automatically, check for proper screenplay format, and more. And with the new Swap Standard Toolbar button, you can easily return to your own Word settings. Plus, Fal-dot is now internationally compatible, with an A4 button that automatically toggles between paper sizes without affecting page breaks! And the best part about Fal-dot: It doesn't cost you a thing! How can we do this? Fal-dot was created for our personal use. When it was first unleashed on the public, demand was higher than expected, and we were unable to support it to the extent we felt was required. Work continued on the template, though, since we were still using it. Long story short: If we release it as a work in progress, a perpetual public beta, we don't feel comfortable charging for it. So, you reap the benefits of an advanced and (mostly) functional program!
